I love to run. I love to write. And then there's the guitar. I have the proverbial irons melting away in this crucible of life. Focus is the key, but mine is glossing over and the clock is ticking.
I think I heard it first on Chris Williamson's podcast, the line that seems fitting: "You can do anything. You can't do everything."
I'm a person of quotes. Love them. Sometimes they seem like the illustrative nature of pictures — since they paint a thousand words (insert emoji). Quotes do that for me. They provoke thought; paintings in galleries like Brooks here in Memphis do that for me. The sheer scale of some of the rooms, and the ceiling-high works that drop the jaw. I just stand and stare. And, I wonder about those artists, their lives... their hearts.
So it is with quotes.
I digress (have that one down pat). My burning desire to do all things needs to be fiercely tempered if I'm to accomplish some of the higher goals I have on my plate before brother reaper comes a knockin'.
They are legion.
